VION enters into joint venture with Rebière
On October 31st, VION has entered into a joint venture with the Brazilian company Rebière. The latter company is one of the leading companies in the Brazilian gelatine market, and belongs to the top 10 gelatine companies in the world. VION company Rousselot, member of the Ingredients Division, will acquire a majority share in Rebière. The joint venture will provide economies of scale to both companies and will increase the options to serve customers worldwide with added-value products. The completion of the transaction is subject to receipt of all customary approvals.

Rebière is a family-controlled company that produces gelatine and has been operating in Brazil since 1912. The company mainly serves customers in food industries worldwide and has two production plants in Brazil. Rebière employs a total of 400 people.
