Welcome to the Sensory Lab

With our new Sensory Lab, located at the Rousselot Expertise Center in Ghent,  Belgium, and sensory testing across all our plants worldwide, we have everything we need to ensure that all Rousselot products come with excellent sensory properties. Our ability to create sensory fingerprints means we can deliver the precise quality and properties you require for your products. The Sensory Lab is also the go-to place for whatever questions or ideas you may have about sensory performance.

Sensory quality and strict protocols #qualitymindset

In order to meet customer demands, we apply a strict approach at three levels:

  • Our operational knowledge enables us to design production processes that deliver consistent product  quality, compliant with the highest standards in the market. By implementing state of the art techniques, we can create neutral, clean, premium collagen peptides.
  • Every Rousselot production site has a quality department with a Basic Sensory Panel, whose job is to evaluate the quality of all our final products. The panelists are trained to perform sensory intensity evaluations based on science.
  • Additionally, we have a trained Expert Panel, based at our Expertise Center in Ghent. Their job is to describe and characterize our products and to ensure all products keep meeting customer expectations.
