We all love attending inspiring events. We also know that events have an impact: travel, hospitality, comfort, catering, digital presentations, all of these and more generate gas emissions that contribute to global warming and impact our planet.
Zero emissions by 2050 for our company
As you may know, our parent company, Darling Ingredients, is committed to achieving net zero emissions by 2050. As a result, Rousselot's manufacturing operations are taking every step possible to achieve this goal by, for example, adopting new processes that significantly reduce our energy consumption. We also felt it was important to do our part in this process, and to apply responsible organizational principles to our Innovation Days. In the end, every little effort will add up and contribute to a positive change for a better climate.

In 2022, we held our first event with zero net emissions. We have taken particular care in choosing our suppliers, giving preference to local catering and electric cabs. In order to offset some unavoidable emissions, we also decided to support a certified project (Gangwon Wind Park in the Republic of Corea) on the United Nations carbon offset platform.
In 2023, we are happy to repeat this experience. Don't be surprised, in order to offset your travel emissions, you will be asked to tell us how and where you are traveling from. We hope that you will appreciate the value of CO2-free Innovation Days as we do.
